Kade Janes was born and raised in Cedar City Utah and is the oldest of 5. Being the oldest and the smallest boy in the family meant that there was always someone to play ball with that was as good or better. In high school, friends, football, basketball, baseball, hunting, and school (in that order) was how Kade spent his time.
After serving a two-year mission for his church in Southern Mexico, Kade returned home and earned a Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Brigham Young University. While in school he spent three years working at a residential treatment facility as staff, and during his final year at BYU he was the gang prevention specialist for the local school district.
After graduating from BYU, Kade spent two years working as a school counselor and basketball coach. One day, after basketball practice, he was asked by a parent if he would be interested in dating his daughter. That invitation led Kade to the love of his life, and eventually five really great kids.
Kade and his wife Maddie moved to Arizona for eleven years as he taught Seminary and Institute of Religion courses. During that time he earned a Masters Degree in Education and then became the Assistant Director of a new large charter school which developed a strong academic reputation during Kade’s tenure. Once the school was at full capacity, with a waiting list, Kade and his family moved back to Utah where he started a consulting practice. Kade was excited to bring his talents and skill in educational leadership to Renewed Hope Ranch.
Today, Kade and his family are happy to be back in Southern Utah where they can spend significant time in the mountains and with extended family.
