Assistant Principal & Mathematics
In 1983 after graduating from SUU (SUSC back then) Brad decided he needed to tour the country before beginning his career in education. He spent the next year working part-time jobs and touring all over the United States with friends, before landing his first teaching job in Dallas Texas. Brad began teaching math and coaching football at a 5A high school in Dallas. After two years he had the opportunity to return to Cedar City and continue teaching math and coaching football and basketball. He remained at Cedar High School for the next twelve years, while at Cedar he earned his Master’s Degree in Education and an administrative endorsement.
At this time an opportunity came to open a new school in the district, Canyon View High School. Brad jumped at the chance to help open a new school and the challenges it brings. He worked to bring about unity and consistency in the math department and helped start up the football and basketball teams. He spent four years as the head basketball coach for the girl’s team then finished his career as the assistant principal before retiring in 2017. Brad enjoyed the thirty-plus years he spent in public education, making memorable times with students and faculty.
In his spare time Brad enjoys golf, camping, going to the gym and traveling with his wife, especially to southern California to see his newest grandson.
